-Neill Hernandez
-Charlie Hopson
-Wayne Slater-Lundsford
-Jason Massman

Who couldn’t be there?
-Fred and Star Ritzendollar
-Jackie Owens

So what did we cover…?
1) Website Most of the people that were necessary for a productive talk about the Church website couldn’t be there and a later lunch meeting has been scheduled for later that week.

2) Wireless Clicker Item selected and ordered my Morris!

3) Wireless Lav Item will be researched by Wayne as we’re hoping to find a wireless system that can include both a lav mic but also a handheld unit.

4) Sound Room Operators Wayne is to prepare 2 4-hour training sessions to begin in March so we can start to raise up additional sound room operators and take some of the pressure off of Mark and Jason.

5) Sound in Toddlers Room Wayne to implement immediately.

6) Building Networking Neill Hernandez Dad could possibly help. Jon will be making a small floorplan drawing for Neill’s Dad to reference for a potential wiring bid. Neill will talk with his Dad about his willingness to help.

7) Wireless Video System Morris pointed out that there are Wireless-G based video systems commercially available now that may remove the need for copper cable from the sound room to the overhead projectors. Both Morris and Wayne will do some investigating on such devices as we will probably need to provide multiple inputs.

8) Sound Room Relocation We all generally arrived at the idea of relocating the sound room above the center doorway. Jon will draw up basic plans of the concept for material pricing. SIDE NOTE: Fred R. has additional ideas for this new configuration as was discussed later that week. I will elaborate more on that soon.

Additional Topics:
-There is a need for a center overhead projector and the mounting system will need to be investigated.
-We may possibly need to angle the side overhead projector screens inward to allow better visibility to the congregation than is currently provided.
-We all came to the same conclusion that the podium needs it’s own laptop for video presentation control by the speaker to remove some of the burden on the sound room operators as well as provide greater control for the speaker.

Well that about covers it! After talking with Charlie, I think from now on we will have technology ministry meetings in the future based on the subject at hand as opposed to simply requesting all attend. This way, for example, having a meeting to talk about the website development will not require sound room technicians to attend. More to come on this!! Thanks to everyone for sacrificing their sleep to cover all these topics last week. It was a necessary task but you all had great hearts about it.

–Jon
