Special Missions Contribution

Every year our church raises up a collection for Special Missions: We support our sister churches in the Baltic and Nordic Countries with other state side churches in a Mission Alliance. This is an event where monies go to spiritually and financially support the church plantings in the Baltics (Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia) and in the Nordics (Sweden, Iceland, Norway, Denmark and Finland). Our goal is to support these churches until they can financially support themselves. Please pray for our Church to reach our goals annually to support all of our brothers & sisters in Christ!

About Us

Thank you for visiting the online community of the Antelope Valley Church.

Feel free to look around and if you have any questions drop us a line. The beginnings of the Antelope Valley Church can be traced back to 1983 when a small group of Christians, with a background in the mainline Church of Christ , decided to live and worship as committed disciples of Jesus Christ. We are now a congregation of over 200 Christians from all over the Antelope Valley. It is our belief that we, as followers of Jesus Christ, can represent the diversity of our cities and maintain truth and the unity that Jesus Christ envisioned.

Though the world may change, we remain true to our convictions. We love the gospel and we share it with others. We also have a deep love for one another. No matter what goes on in the world today, we  remain a family.

We invite you to join us for Sunday School and our Worship Service. Sunday School has Bible Study classes for all ages at 9:30am to 10:30am. Children's ministry classes available. Our Worship Service begins at 10:45am.
We would love the opportunity to get to know you. For more information please email us churchinfo@avchurch.org

We believe that the Bible is the inerrant word of God and that its daily application to our lives is essential. Jesus Christ is Lord and the cornerstone of the Church and all authority belongs to Him. The most important decision one can make is the decision to love the Lord with all his heart, mind, soul ,and strength.  Sharing these truths with the world is our greatest joy.

The AV Church embraces the commission of Christ to “make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.”  We are committed to making disciples both locally and around the world. We have over 550 sister churches in 147 countries . It is our stated intention to fulfill Jesus’ command in Matthew 28 to “go make disciples of all nations.”

The Antelope Valley church upholds the following beliefs:

We believe that the first and greatest commandment is to “’love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.” (Matthew 22:37-38)

We believe that there is one true God who reveals himself to the world as the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, commonly referred to today as the doctrine of the Trinity (Matthew 28:19).

We believe that Jesus, the Son of God, is our one and only Lord and Savior, he was crucified as a sacrifice for our sins and rose from the dead after three days (John 14:6, Acts 2:22-24).

We believe that the Bible is the one written message of God and is inspired by the Holy Spirit (2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:19-21).

We believe that when people repent and are baptized, their sins are forgiven, they receive the Holy Spirit, and are added to Jesus’ church (Acts 2:36-41).
